Curiosities from the winegrowers
Hand-picked grapes from a 30-year-old plantation on the Harkai Peak, Koglberg, which is basically a great stony, chalky soil near the Lövérek. Spontaneously fermented in steel tanks and then matured on fine lees for 10 months. ⅔ in 300 litre Kádár Larus barrels, ⅓ in steel tanks. This was followed by blending and then 2 months of maturation in steel tanks. A total of 800 bottles were bottled without clarification and after light filtration.

Borigo Magazine 2022
“Kádár Hungary 300 litre Larus second filling. Light straw yellow appearance. Vibrant aroma, full of herbs. Its fruits are ripe pear and apple, and the barrel effect is not negligible. Tasted, the structure is on the borderline of firmness and creaminess, the acidity is proportioned, the saltiness is serious. At the same time, there is fruit and fullness. The herbs carry as the sip progresses.
Unconventional. A promising wine.”
